Scope

Dykes With Drills was proud to partner with Rebuilding Together to help build 18 preschool sized picnic tables for low income preschools in San Francisco. We had both seasoned DWD participants and new builders a like. After a full day of building, we celebrated our accomplishment with a trip to the local queer bar. We are grateful for this opportunity and for all of those who came to build with us.

Habitat for Humanity Build With Pride

Scope

Dykes With Drills joined Habitat for Humanity for their Build With Pride community build in September.

Habitat is a proud partner of the LGBTQ community. In 1991, Steve Jacoby took the first steps toward bringing Habitat for Humanity to San Francisco. He died from AIDS before ever seeing the organization incorporated, but without his vision and work, Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco would not exist today.

The Build With Pride event honors the memory of Stephen Blake Jacoby. Dykes With Drills was excited to partner this year with Habitat for Humanity and thanks the Golden Gate Business Association for making this volunteer build possible.
