National Public Lands Day Event

Join the City of Little Rock Volunteers and Little Rock Parks and Recreation for this fun community event!

On September 27, the nation is headed outdoors—and you’re invited!

Be part of the largest volunteer event to protect the lands that unite us. Whether it’s a trail, park, or cultural site, public lands are “Our Home Outdoors” and they need your care.

You can also explore federal public lands without admission on this fee-free day!

Roll up your sleeves, learn something new, and experience the satisfaction of outdoor activities. NPLD not only benefits our environment but also provides health benefits by spending time in nature and meeting like-minded people in your community.

We will be celebrating NPLD in Hindman Park this year! Hindman Park was hit hard by the April storm and is in need of a lot of love.

We will be:
1) Picking up downed limbs
2) Painting benches
3) Cutting back overgrowth
4) Weedeating
5) Picking up litter

Please wear:
1) Closed toed comfortable shoes
2) Clothes you can get dirty in
3) Gloves

We have tools, but they are limited.

If you are able, please bring:
1) Loppers
2) Battery powered weedeater

Check in at the pavillion, lunch will be served and water will be available.

PLEASE BRING A WATER BOTTLE.

For planning lunch, please rsvp at:

We'll see you there under the shade of the beautiful, tall trees!
