Upholstered Bench Workshop

In this workshop, participants will assemble upholster a small bench. Wood will be premilled before class. Students will learn the chop saw, pocket hole jig, drills, and drivers. After the bench is assembled participants will sand and upholster the top using a brad gun. Participants will have to bring their own fabric. This class is open to all! No woodworking experience required. Come enjoy our shop and tools, make friends, and learn a new skill.

Price

$95.00 / per person

All materials, except for the fabric, are included in the cost of the class. Participants will need to bring their own fabric with measurements of at least 40” x 28”.

Accessibility

Do you have a low scent tolerance? We ask that our participants refrain from using extreme scents, though cannot guarantee the workshop space will be scent free. Please know that sawdust is present in the shop and we have masks available upon request.

Do you use ASL? We have translation available, and would love to work with you about how you can access our workshops.

COVID-19 Protocols

Your safety is our highest priority, so we have put safety protocols in place for all of our in-person workshops to keep everyone safe. Those protocols are:

  • All instructors, assistants, and participants will be required to show proof of vaccinations and wear masks while attending workshops. We do not have enough masks to provide to everyone, so you will be required to provide your own mask.

  • Everyone should follow recommended safety precautions, such as coughing into your elbow and refraining from touching their face.

  • All of the tools, equipment, door handles, cabinet and drawer handles, etc. that are touched will be disinfected both before and after the workshop.
