Introduction to Tools Workshop
Begin your woodworking journey with confidence.
In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to accurately measure, mark, cut, and join wood using beginner-friendly tools. Perfect for first-time builders and DIY enthusiasts, this course focuses on tool safety, essential skills, and workshop basics. You’ll finish the session by designing and building a simple project that puts your new skills to practical use.
This workshop takes place at our Treasure Island Workshop.
Price
$100/ per person
Please note that this is a skill building workshop. Participants will work in small groups to design and build something that will allow them to practice the new skills they learned. Individuals will not be making an item to take home with them.

Accessibility
Are you in a wheel chair? There is wheel chair access in the building, however not all of the tools are accessible or set up to be operated safely by someone in a wheel chair. Some modifications in the shop can be made if we know in advance that you are coming.
Do you have a low scent tolerance? We ask that our participants refrain from using extreme scents, though cannot guarantee the workshop space will be scent free. Please know that sawdust is present in the shop and we have masks available upon request.
Do you use ASL? We currently don’t have translation available, and would love to work with you about how you can access our workshops.
