Cutting Board Workshop

Join Dykes With Drills at Beanlandia!

This holiday season, learn some basic woodworking skills while making a beautiful cutting board of mixed hardwoods for yourself or someone you love.

In this workshop, participants will choose from a selection of pre-glued boards and learn the safety and use of the drill press, router table, bandsaw, and sanders to get their boards shaped and smoothed to perfection. Once the tools are down participants are welcome to pop open a beverage while they apply oil to their cutting boards to protect it for years to come. All materials are included in the cost of the class. Cutting boards are 10” x 12”. This class is open to all! No woodworking experience required.

NOTE: This workshop takes place at Beanlandia, located at 3300 Royal St, New Orleans, LA 70117

  • Everyone should follow recommended safety precautions, such as coughing into your elbow and refraining from touching their face.

  • All of the tools, equipment, door handles, cabinet and drawer handles, etc. that are touched will be disinfected both before and after the workshop.
