Yes we call ourselves Dykes with Drills, and we are a group of builders inclusive of all gender non conforming, trans people and allies.
Are you in a wheel chair? There is wheel chair access in the building, however not all of the tools are accessible or set up to be operated safely by someone in a wheel chair. Some modifications in the shop can be made if we know in advance that you are coming.
Do you have a low scent tolerance? We ask that our participants refrain from using extreme scents, though cannot guarantee the workshop space will be scent free. Please know that sawdust is present in the shop and we have masks available upon request.
Are you gender non conforming? Bathrooms are available at the school and can be set up as gender neutral upon all participant’s consent.
Are you ASL? We currently don’t have translation available, and would love to work with you about how you can access our workshops. We do have reading materials and much of the learning will be shown through actions.
The best thing to do if you are someone who has questions is to message us! We are happy to work with you and your needs.
