get to know us

We are a group of queer womxn empowering people with the tools to build.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower people with the tools to build. By hosting skill building workshops, retreats, volunteer events and meet-ups, we cultivate opportunities for individuals to connect with each other and to use tools.

In everything we do, we foster safe, inclusive, non-judgmental spaces for learning and teaching. If you’ve ever thought you couldn’t make something because of what you’ve been told, we are here to help you.

Our Impact

We are an active member of our community. We have built tiny houses for the homeless, for low income LGBTQ+, as disaster relief and for seasonal farm workers. We have participated in over twenty five community builds, including skate parks, garden projects and more. In total we have impacted over 2500 people.

In addition to collaborating on community projects, we provide monthly workshops that have a unique approach to learning woodworking skills, in an exploratory and failure positive environment. We help our participants feel safe and confident around power tools, and leave them with the ability to go on and use the skills they’ve learned.
